FINN SERIES for Girsberger
Finn’s special corner joint acts as both a construction and a design feature. The idea for the corner joint construction that joins the chair legs to the seat originally came from Swiss designer Bruno Rey. Aftermore than forty years, designer Alexander Rehn has now reinterpreted this idea.
The new connectors join the seat and legs of the chair in a way that creates a shadow gap, creating the impression that the seat is floating. With Finn, the corner joint construction principle has been applied not only to a chair, but also to a matching table. The result is a range of chairs and tables that forms a congenial whole.

Y-01 VASES – Design study
The series of vases Y 01 shows the beauty of the material bronze in all its facets. The fascination lays in the great contrast between the bright shining inside and the rough, matt outside of a vase. The products make the whole manufacturing process of casting bronze visible. The outside shows the material in an untreated condition. The oxidation made the bronze turn black. The inside is highly polished and went golden. The shapes and sizes of the three vases are related to shapes of glass jars used in the chemistry. Showing different steps of bronze treatment in one product gives the traditonal manufacturing process of casting bronze a new freshness.
